Buenos Aires was found in 1536 by the Spanish conquistador Pedro de Mendoza. After the attack of the Indians in 1541, the city was burned and rebuilt only in 1580. In 1880 it became the center of the Federal Republic of Argentina. For many years the whole country and capital were under the military, this fact led to the economic crisis. Since 1990, the city began to develop intensively. In the 21^st century, it is known throughout the world.
